Ahmad R. Razaghi is a social entrepreneur in Native American Healthcare with vast experience in strategic planning, corporate governance, and executive management. He assists native nations to develop and manage their own private healthcare systems to improve health disparities for American Indians.
He has served as Chair and Executive Officer of healthcare systems and hospitals serving Native Americans. He provides executive advise to tribal boards so that they properly form and govern their tribal healthcare corporations (“638 Corporations”).
In his executive capacity, Mr. Razaghi has negotiated several multi-year Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act, PL 93-638, contracts (“638 Contract”) with the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Indian Health Services (“DHHS, IHS”). He has also developed and executed strategic plans that protected one 638 Corporation from the loss of its 638 Contract, hospital licensure and accreditation, financial insolvency, and closure, and a startup and financing plan for a second de novo 638 Corporation.
Mr. Razaghi led a team that negotiated a historic $200 Million settlement for a 638 Corporation with the DHHS, IHS. The United States Surgeon General, Dr. Regina Benjamin awarded him the DHHS, IHS Chief Executive Officers Managerial Excellence award representing all of the federally recognized Tribes and 638 Corporations in the U.S.
